2. Radon Testing, Radon Inspection Services
Odorless, invisible radon decay products are the second-leading cause of lung cancer behind cigarette smoking, according to the EPA.
Radon comes from the decay of radium and uranium. It is sucked into the house via the stack effect caused by the rise of warm air.
Our continuous radon monitors take a measurement of radon gas activity every hour for a minimum of 48 hours.
A report with measurements in pCi/liter is delivered to the client via email as a PDF.
Inspector is a state-licensed, NRPP Certified Professional. The inspector also passed InterNACHI’s Advanced Radon Measurement Service Provider Course.

3. Sewer Scope Inspection Services
The drain line that goes from the home to the city sewer main or septic tank should be free of defects such as roots, offsets, damaged piping, and Orangeburg pipe.
Knowing about the existence of Orangeburg pipe on a property is crucial for buyers, sellers, or people who want to avoid having sewage back up into their home due to a blockage.
Adept Home Inspections has specific training in identifying the existence of Orangeburg pipe and other defects from the inside. All Orangeburg pipe is defective and should be replaced.
We can inspect your sewer lines with a sewer camera that’s attached to a spool of synthetic push line. It’s called a sewer scope.
As part of the service we’ll record the inspection and make a YouTube video for you to review. Afterwards, we’ll write up a summary of our findings so that you won’t have to watch the video if you don’t have the time.

4. Well Water Inspections
Water testing can include a potability or domestic water quality analysis. Samples are delivered to a state-certified lab for analysis.
Lab analyses can also look for any of the following:
- Nitrate or nitrite
- Residual chlorine
- Irrigation suitability analysis
5. Telescopic Pole, Spectoscope/Remotely Activated Camera Roof Inspections
Steep roofs or delicate roofing materials made of concrete, clay, or wood shake shingles can be inspected with my telescopic pole that has a wireless camera attached to it. It’s creators at InterNACHI call it the Spectoscope.
6. Wildfire Risk Analysis Services
As a wildland firefighter veteran, I can provide an assessment of the structural ignition hazards from wildland fire on a property using National Fire Protection Association standards.
Some insurance companies won’t insure your home if they think it’s too much of a risk.
Written reports of the analysis and suggested mitigation work provided to clients within 48 hours.
